Savings and Loans Project (Five Talents)

The Savings and Loans Project that was started in Tunguli in March 2025 is growing from strength to strength. Here are two individuals who are benefitting from this scheme:

“I am a member of Neema saving and loan group. I took a loan of Tsh 300,000 (about £85) for farming one acre of potatoes. I thank that yielding is good. Now selling potatoes and collected over one million (1,000,000) Tanzania shillings thus able to refund the loan. I thank MISSION MOROGORO for supporting the establishment of this group, and now we are starting benefitting from it.”

Another member:

“I am also a member of Neema saving and loan group. In fact, the group is very helpful, it helped me to pay college fee for my son who is pursuing nursing studies at Berega Nursing College. I took a loan of Tsh 600,000 and expect to refund it on summer season this year.”

 With more than 70 members of the Neema group, we expect to hear many more positive stories and how it is changing their lives.
